Insurance Coverage

Transit Insurance is included in your quote.

Your motorcycle is automatically insured for damage caused in the event of an accident involving our transport vehicle. This includes Fire, Flood, Theft, Collision and/or overturning of the conveying vehicle only. This does not include all damages which may occur during normal movement of the bike in transit. Your motorcycle is insured from pickup to delivery and while loading and unloading. 

This insurance cover is based on the market value of the motorcycle as determined by our insurer. Our insurance does not cover items, parts or accessories that are transported with the motorcycle however we must note that the utmost care is taken by all our staff for boxed items and helmets.  Our insurance does not cover any mechanical issues or flat batteries.  We do not start motorcycles and cannot do a full mechanical assessment of every motorcycle at the time of collection.

BIKES FROM AUCTION HOUSES:

There will be no warranty on any bikes purchased from auction centres and their agencies. Vehicles are purchased at auction are on an as-is-where-is basis, therefore, there may be additional damage, mechanical issues or body blemishes that are not clearly identified in the photos and descriptions supplied by the auction house. Transit insurance will still apply.

 

Comprehensive Insurance

Whilst we have been professionally transporting bikes for 20 years accidents can happen and we recommend to owners that you have adequate comprehensive insurance to cover any occurrence of damage not caused by transportation to your bike during the normal course of our operations.

In the event that your bike is accidentally damaged during transit, please notify Bikes Only within 24 HOURS of receiving delivery.
